The University of Las Palmas, has initiated the development of a processing platform on Free Software
Last March 29 was the launch of e-Government Project of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPG), which is being developed with the technological support of Telefónica. In attendance Councillor Joseph Garcia, president of the ULPGC, and Juan Jose Flores Mederos, regional director of Telefónica in the Canaries. Also present Conrado Dominguez Trujillo, manager of the ULPGC, and Jose Miguel Santos, director of the Computer Policy ULPGC.
The term eGovernment refers to the use of techniques and electronic media, computer and communication in the development of activities and procedures that fall within the Administration.
