The advent of the Internet is changing, "many things and many concepts," as the way we work, how to relate or the products and how they are sold, each time changes are occurring at a faster rate. And this is well aware of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, which urge the government to further develop regional actions for the implementation of free software in the Regional Administration.
This was announced by the deputy of the Socialist Group, Cesar Ramos, in a press conference, where he presented the proposal to boost that will defend at the next plenary of the Assembly of Extremadura, through which request the Board to further develop actions to free software implementation in the Regional Administration, as well as a plan for the development of the region's technology companies to develop software based on Linex, for export.
Beginning of this project: With the liberalization of telecommunications market in Europe, Extremadura passed in a situation of risk to be very unprofitable to bring broadband infrastructure to small towns, which inhabits most of the population of Extremadura.
Extremadura's project, was designed with two main objectives:
1. Ensure accessibility for all citizens to infrastructure and services in the Information Society.
2. Promote technological literacy of all people, regardless of their place of residence.
Both aspects have fallen on the shoulders of the regional government, with support from European funds, has launched a series of measures, among which stands out for its strategic value distribution of free software, LinEx .
The VI International Free Software Conference , organized by the Junta de Andalucia and Extremadura, will be held in Malaga from 27 to 29 October 2010, as decided in the fifth edition of this meeting which was held in Cáceres .

National Centre for Curriculum Development in non-owners (Free Software)
This new challenge has come from central government with the support of the Junta de Extremadura for a support center, outreach and training of free software. This in particular is focused on one of the cornerstones of any country concerned about the welfare, progress of society and the future: education.
As BOE collects himself: "The Ministry of Education has set a priority among the general policy of non-university education, deepening the achievement of equal educational opportunities and the promotion of better continuous quality Spanish educational system "
The new center will be named National Curriculum Development Centre in non-owners, and no doubt very wise is a bet that returns us to give reasons for the experts, for which it should be, once and for all, the clear commitment determined and pressure seamless multinational or free software and open standards. As stated in the Official Gazette No. 213 of September 3, 2009:
"It creates the National Curriculum Development Centre in non-owners, based in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, under the Ministry of Education and functional dependence of the Ministry of Education through the Institute of Educational Technology, and the Junta de Extremadura through the Ministry of Education.
